One can easily ignore and not appreciate hardly visible things. This is the case with glass. No wonder: in everyday life, who pays attention to a uniform sheet of transparent mass? The view and natural light are what matter. We appreciate windows, and glass in particular, only when they are missing or defective. In order to raise awareness of the role of glass in our lives, the United Nations decided to make 2022 the International Year of Glass.
